December 10, 2024 – TechConnect today announced a key highlight of its 2025 spring Smart Cities Connect Conference in San Antonio: the Smart Cities Smart Bases Innovation Challenge. Leading innovators will present cutting-edge innovations addressing challenges shared across smart cities and military bases. Winning solutions will enhance cyber resilience, build sustainable infrastructure, and improve the well-being of communities and installations in military bases.
“The Smart Cities Smart Bases Innovation Challenge exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and dual-use innovation that is vital to creating resilient installations and urban environments,” said Matthew Laudon, Vice President, TechConnect. “We hosted a successful challenge in Austin, Texas in December and want to expand upon that traction, fostering connections between city leaders, military officials, and technology pioneers.”
TechConnect’s Smart Cities Connect Conference and Expo has, since 2016, connected city leaders with industry innovators to advance smart city solutions and secure community initiatives. The event provides a unique opportunity to address challenges at the intersection of urban development and defense operations.
TechConnect will accept applications through March 1, 2025.
