Due: July 8, 2026
Mondelez International, a global leader in fast moving consumer goods, seeks better insights into consumer sentiment through the usage of next-generation methodologies and technologies. Mondelez International intends to conduct a pilot-scale evaluation later this year.
BACKGROUND
All consumer goods companies rely on understanding the needs and wants of customers. Mondelez International already utilizes surveys, chatbots, in-person evaluation panels, and more to glean information about consumer sentiment regarding products and packaging. They believe that innovative methodologies and technologies are now able to deliver new and better insights into the consumer.
Mondelez International is interested in all methodologies and technologies that offer significant improvements over conventional alternatives specifically applied to qualitative research, including approaches from fields outside traditional qualitative research in consumer science, such as semiotics and anthropology.
New ways of looking at consumers, understanding and capturing their behaviors, their conscious and unconscious biases, and how these biases interact in the process of choosing and consuming fast moving consumer goods (FMCG).
Approaches of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Methods adapted from other disciplines or applications, including innovative approaches for qualitative research moderation
- Methods incorporating new technologies or existing ones in innovative ways
- Integration of disparate data sets via AI platforms
- AI-enabled analysis of large consumer data sets
- Novel sensors
- Micro-expression detection systems
- New methods that complement traditional qualitative research
Kindly exclude new methods that are related to AI-based qualitative moderation (Mondelez International prefers humans to do that) and anything to do with synthetic consumers/digital consumers, etc.
Responses proposing methodologies or technologies validated through prior field deployment or consumer testing are of greatest interest.
Mondelez International intends to pilot one proposed methodology or technology during Q3 2026. Consequently, responses unable to meet that timetable are unlikely to be of interest. Mondelez International and the selected respondent will jointly determine parameters of the pilot test (i.e. location, scope, audience, etc.).
