Bloo Solar Acquires Rights to Original Invention Technology From UC Davis

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bloo Solar, a West Sacramento renewable solar energy company, announced today the successful acquisition of certain early invention rights from UC Davis.

Bloo Solar, formerly known as Q1 NanoSystems, has reached an exclusive licensing agreement with UC Davis to acquire all rights to early inventions that assist in the manufacturing of extremely thin and very small wires, films and other structures with a precise chemical makeup.

The inventions were created by Bloo Solar’s co-founders Ruxandra Vidu, Brian Argo, John Argo, and Professor Pieter Stroeve, a UC Davis professor who continues his leading edge research at the university in Davis, California. Professor Saif Islam, another UC Davis professor, also made contributions to these inventions.

“This is an important part of the portfolio of valuable intellectual property owned by Bloo Solar,” said Larry Bawden, President and CEO of Bloo Solar. “These early inventions, together with the great development work Bloo Solar has completed over the last three years, provide a solid product line we are now commercializing to.”
