Congressman Jay Inslee Will Speak at Clean Technology 2008 in Boston

In addition to his official role in Washington DC, Congressman Inslee is also well-known as the co-author of Apollo’s Fire – Igniting America’s Clean Energy Economy.

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Clean Technology and Sustainable Industry Organization (www.CT-SI.org), producer of Clean Technology 2008, today announced that Congressman Jay Inslee of Washington will be a keynote speaker on June 2nd at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston Massachusetts.

A long-time champion of clean energy, Congressman Inslee has worked at the federal level as representative for the 4th Congressional District from 1992-1994 and the 1st Congressional District since 1999. Since 2005, Congressman Inslee has used his seat on the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee to promote his vision for a clean energy future, the New Apollo Energy Act, and to advance other legislation that would reduce greenhouse-gas emissions. In March 2007, he was appointed to the 15-member Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming.
