Connected health originally meant patients could interact with a physician via video connection. Devices and software platforms to assist, expand, and enable consumer health have since expanded to improve consumer wellness and fitness. Now, wearable devices monitor health conditions, provide insight into results of physical fitness routines, and even gauge the effectiveness of a night’s sleep.
For this Sprint, our client seeks all innovations supporting, enabling, or expanding connected health, wellness, or fitness efforts, such as (but not limited to):
Communication:
- Novel communication mediums and methods for medical professional-to-patient; patient-to-payor; medical professional-to-specialist or colleague; and other key parties involved in a person’s health, wellness, or fitness decisions
- Health-based applications and services that connect and utilize devices already in the home
Access:
- Healthcare in the home
- Remote health, including monitoring, virtual visits, and remote care programs
- Mobile health applications or devices enabling consumer health information, medication adherence, or wellness/nutrition solutions
- Novel concepts for remote clinics, including non-traditional approaches or spaces, and reaching new communities
Digital Approaches:
- Digital fitness and wellness products incorporating health
- Digital therapeutics: evidence-based therapeutic interventions or solutions that prevent, manage, or treat a medical disorder or disease digitally
Hardware:
- Devices
- Sensors
- Wearables
Preventable healthcare applications and and services
This is a rapid identification project. We strongly encourage Interested respondents to submit a response promptly. We will review submissions and evaluate on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
Solution providers should complete the standard submission application and take care to highlight key innovation areas that address:
- Type of technology,
- Anticipated performance,
- Anticipated operational lifespan, and
- Technical maturity
