Mondelez, a global fast-moving consumer goods company, seeks U.S.-based expertise in the stimulation of GLP-1 response in adults through food ingredients. SMEs will assist with the identification and analysis of ingredients for possible future commercial integration.
Background
Millions of American adults use prescription of GLP-1 pharmaceuticals for weight loss and weight management. The popularity of these medications is driving interest in non-pharmacological alternatives. Research indicates that certain food ingredients can generate natural GLP-1 secretion, suggesting potential for dietary strategy.
TechConnect’s client, Mondelez, is interested in the potential for food ingredients to stimulate GLP-1 response in adults. Mondelez believes it is possible to create satisfying snacks that can contribute positively to consumer’s weight goals.
Mondelez hopes to collaborate with experts with knowledge in:
- GLP-1 responses in healthy adults
- Metabolic chemistry, especially glucose metabolism
- Gastric hormones
- Eating behavior/satiety
Subject matter experts (SMEs) of interest will identify and analyze ingredients of interest for possible use in consumer products. Consequently, respondents with in-house research capabilities are highly sought. Additionally, SMEs with knowledge of clinical trials are of significant interest.
At this time, eligible respondents to this project must be U.S.-based, working at U.S.-based organizations. International responses are not eligible for consideration.
Responses focused on specific ingredients are not in scope.
