World Bank Opens Climate Innovation Centre in Kenya

Centre will be a home for African green business entrepreneurs, R&D for clean technologies

The Climate Innovation Centre in Kenya will focus on climate change challenges, from exploring ways to reduce carbon emissions to new green technologies to assist with energy and water supply generation.  The Centre will also provide financing and consulting services to local greentech innovators and entrepreneurs.  Over the next several years, The World Bank plans to open six more Climate Technology Centres in developing nations .
