Sonavation Announces Collaborative Research Agreement with M.D. Anderson

The new ultrasound technology may have application as a cancer treatment, used alone or in combination with other cancer treatments.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SonavationTM, Inc., the developer of the biometrics industry’s thinnest and most durable fingerprint sensor, today announced a collaborative research agreement with The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center towards the development of novel ultrahigh frequency ultrasound technology.

The new ultrasound technology may have application as a cancer treatment, used alone or in combination with other cancer treatments. Moreover, this new technology may prove useful to treat skin cancer, certain dermatological conditions, and cosmetics. The collaboration will use Sonavation’s advanced transducer technology implemented in its patented SonicTouchTM biometric fingerprint sensor solutions.
