The initiative will focus on chemical biology and molecular therapeutics at inStem in Bangalore, India.
The Initiative is being funded by the Indian Government’s Department of Biotechnology. In addition to the University of Cambridge, the announcement listed the collaboration with the National Centre for Biological Sciences and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
The government of India will provide approximately $11 Million GBP for the Initiative, which will house a team of researchers combining their expertise in genetics, chemistry, biochemistry, and cell biology to better understand cellular systems and find new drug delivery systems to help treat human illness and disease.
