MesoCoat and Powdermet were noted in the R&D Magazine's R&D 100 List for their technology improvements to nano-enabled stainless steel powder. The powder is being made more effective by the companies PComP Nanocomposite Cermet Coatings, which are substantially lighter than current methods of metals protection. R&D's 100 Awards notes that 'Nanoscale engineered cermets' make their list for its effectiveness in increasing the life of components, their value, as well as decreasing machinery downtime.
