Oracle Chairman Jeff Henley and Wife Judy Gift $50 Million US to UC Santa Barbara

Generous gift to be used for The Institute for Energy Efficiency, a collaborative research campus at UCSB, and the school’s College of Engineering

Mr. Henley is a 1966 graduate of UCSB, and his wife is an honorary alum of the university.  The Institute for Energy Efficiency (IEE) houses leading scientists and researchers from around the world in the areas of materials, computing, optoelectronics, photovoltaics, control systems, and solid state lighting.  The IEE will receive $30 Million, with $20 Million allotted to UCSB’s School of Engineering.
