New R&D center to focus on innovations in glass making
The new innovation center will help advance new concepts and test emerging technologies for next generation methods to melt and form glass. Owens-Illinois will spend $35 Million US over the next three years in this new facility. The facility also received a $3 Million US grant from the Ohio Third Frontier Commission. The new facility is expected to create close to 50 new high-tech jobs for the state.
